About the 2.9 mm Interface

The 2.9mm connector is considered a millimeter-wave, precision grade interface designed for superior higher frequency performance with a mode free operating frequency of 46 GHz ( K Band). The 2.9mm designation refers to the inner diameter of the outer conductor (connector housing). 2.9mm connectors are mechanically compatible to mate with SMA and 3.5mm connectors making it a very versatile interface. The primary application for this connector is for use as a port interface on test & measurement equipment or components that require superior performance at extended high frequencies. Used with phase stable cables the 2.9mm connector offers measurement accuracy required in test cable applications.
